The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) is a government agency under the
Ministry of Health and Care Services. NIPH is mandated to serve as the knowledge
agency within the health and care sector; responsible for preparedness in the event of
infectious disease outbreaks, chemical or environmental incidents, Norway’s central
actor for health data, and Responsible for key national services.
